Stewardship isn’t merely a tool of life that we file away only to use at an opportune moment. Stewardship is using the filing cabinet, the room where the cabinet is stored, the home the room is in, the people who laugh in the home, the land the home stands on, the children who play in the fields, the grace that God sustains us with. Stewardship is the essence of the life of a Christian. A steward is one who has been entrusted with the time, the money, the land, the people, the grace, and all of life: this life and the next.
